The other day, when I was having a DIFFICULT day and just wanted to leave more than anything else, God brought this song to mind. I sang it to myself as I did dishes, and it really helped to encourage me.

I came up with the title before the song showed up, so... I may change it. It's still pliable at this point.

Fear had kept me in a prison for so long.
The scars of the past weighed heavy on my heart.
Paralyzed by the thought of choosing, and choosing wrong,
All I could do was pray, "Lord, give me a new start."

You are the beginning of a new adventure

Days stretch before me- who knows how they will end?
I know that God, He holds each one with eternity in view.
So unexpected are the blessings sent from His hand,
And I am so grateful He sent a friend in you.
